Meet Instagram's newest change

Meta is giving users the ability to change the comments they leave on Instagram posts, but only within a 15-minute period after they are published.

This option is similar to how the app handles message editing, which was first added in 2024, 11 years after Instagram introduced messages in 2013.

Users can only edit comments they've posted from their account, and the process is simple: just click on the word "Edit" below the comment to open a text box where you can change, rephrase, or improve what you've written, and then press the blue check mark to save it.
