The Supreme Court postpones the consideration of the case of Aldo Bares, seeks

The Supreme Court postpones the consideration of the case of Aldo Bares. Journalist Klodiana Lala reported for "BalkanWeb" that the decision came after judges Sandër Simoni and Sokol Binaj gave up on the grounds that they had examined the case of Bare several times.

On September 17, the Supreme Court decided to review the criminal file against Aldo Bare, the former leader of the notorious Lushnja gang, who has been serving a life sentence in the high security prison in Peqin for years, as he seeks to escape this maximum penalty.

In 2017, the Constitutional Court decided to overturn the decision of the Supreme Court for Aldo Baren and return the case for a retrial, as it found serious procedural violations and concluded that the defendant was not guaranteed a due process of law.

Because the Supreme Court was out of order for several years, after being left without a judge, the file remained in the drawers.

Aldo Bare is one of the most well-known names in crime and has been convicted for serious crimes committed as part of the gang he created and led for years, terrorizing Lushnja.

Bare, a former special forces officer, created the criminal gang to execute all opponents who killed his brother Ramadan Shukurti. Many people were executed by the infamous gang under the orders of Bara, among them Artur Daja, the sworn opponent of the former operative of the Brisk ward.

He remained on the run for a long time, but in 2006 he was arrested in Turkey and three years later he was extradited to Tirana where he faced justice.
