Wanted by Spain for drug trafficking, house arrest for businessman Nikolin Janina

The Court of Appeal has imposed "house arrest" for Nikolin Janina, who is accused of being the head of a criminal group in Spain.
The Albanian businessman, Nikolin Janina, was arrested on May 6 with the intention of extradition to Spain, but the court left him in prison pending the complete investigation file from Spain, while today he was released from his cell under "house arrest".
The media in Spain wrote that Janina is accused of organizing the cash that was seized by Udyco de Pontevedra in 2016.
According to the Anti-Drug Prosecutor of Pontevedra, the businessman is said to be responsible for 54 kilograms of drugs that arrived in the province in 2016 in a Porsche Cayenne and were seized by Udyco of the city of Lérez, a shipment that was the most important in Europe that year in relation to the most harmful substances.
Janina was the preferred partner of Castor MG, a resident of Mos, who was convicted of these events as being responsible for taking the shipment to Pontevedra using a car dealership in Tui as a cover.

Më datë 05.05.2022, nga ana e OPGJ-së pranë Drjtorisë Vendore të Policisë Tiranë është kryer arrestimi i përkohshëm i shtetasit me iniciale N.J, me qëllim ekstradimin e tij drejtë Spanjës, si i dyshuar për kryerjen e veprës penale të “trafikimit të lëndëve narkotike” .
Gjykata e Rrethit Gjyqësor Tiranë, ka zhvilluar gjykimin lidhur me kërkesën e bërë nga shtetasi me iniciale N.J, për zëvëndësimin e masës së sigurimit, për efekt ekstradimi.
Me vendimin nr. 1079/1 Akti, datë 02.09.2022 Gjykata e Rrethit Gjyqësor Tiranë vendosi:
-Pranimin e kërkesës.
-Zëvendësimin e masës së sigurimit personale shtrnguese ndaj personit nën hetim N.J nga “arrest në burg” të parashikuar nga neni 238 i K.Pr.Penale ne atë të “arrest në shtëpi”, të parashikuar nga neni 237 i K.Pr.Penale.

The case on appeal was examined on the basis of the appeal made by the Prosecutor's Office of the Judicial District of Tirana, which requested the change of the decision leaving in force the security measure "arrest in prison" for the person under investigation NJ
In the following, the Court of Appeal Tirana, composed of Judge Relator Mr. Genti Shala, with decision no. 840 dated 29.09.2022, decided:
- Enforcing decision no. 1079/1 dated 02.09.2022 of the Court of the Judicial District of Tirana.
