Assassination of Gentjan Bejtja, the Prosecution takes the perpetrators' "driver" to trial. Here are the charges

More than a year has passed since the mafia assassination that left Gentian Bejtjan dead with a hail of bullets in the courtyard of his apartment in Larushk, Fushë-Krujë, the Tirana prosecutor's office announces that it has closed the investigations and sent the man suspected of helping the perpetrators flee the scene, Ilir Beqarajn, to trial.

The Prosecutor's Office at the First Instance Court of General Jurisdiction in Tirana completed the investigations and sent citizen IB to trial for the criminal offense of 'Premeditated Murder' committed in collaboration, 'Unauthorized Possession and Production of Weapons' and 'Forgery of Identity Cards and Passports' provided for by articles 78/1 and 23, 278/4 and 289/1 of the Criminal Code.

Within the framework of the investigations for criminal proceedings no. 1944/2 of 2024, for the murder of citizen GB in the village of Larush in Fushë Kruja, the Prosecution managed to prove that the defendant IB committed the above crime in the role of an accessory.

According to the prosecution, this citizen, with his active actions, was able to remove the perpetrators of the murder from the scene, taking them to the village of Hasan where they were able to burn the car with which they committed the murder, this was also documented by the film footage administered by the prosecution. While it was proven that this citizen was in the vicinity of the victim's apartment with his vehicle at different times.

The investigations revealed that in the vehicle used by the perpetrators to flee immediately after burning the vehicle in which the murder was committed, a genetic profile of citizens IB and FP was obtained, who are suspected of having played a role in the murder of citizen GB.

Investigations continue for other people involved.
