Assassination of Irakli Davella and Etmond Hysa/ The 2 perpetrators are left in prison, the evidence is revealed in Court

44-year-old Jenis Tulja from Tirana and 45-year-old Mirjan Guveli from Saranda appeared before a court in Greece today, as they are suspected of being the perpetrators of the assassination recorded on December 15 last year in a bar in Thermomakedonon, Athens, where Irakli Davella was killed and Edi Luloas alias Etmond Hysa was injured.
The security measure "prison arrest" has been left in effect against them.
Tulja and Guveli have denied their involvement in the serious incident. They refused to give statements before the trial panel, stating that they first wanted to familiarize themselves with the evidence, especially the audio-visual evidence, which, as the defense lawyers mentioned, they have not yet received.
Specifically, in their written statement, the defense attorneys of the two defendants, Manolis Anastasakis and Spyridon Dionysiotis, state: "Our clients denied the charges and then exercised their right to remain silent, because we were not provided with the written material of all the preliminary investigations and specifically all the audio-visual material that is also the dominant means of evidence. We reserve the right to an additional hearing when and if we learn these details."
We recall that Jenis Tulja and Mirjan Guveli were arrested a few days ago in an operation conducted simultaneously in two apartments in the "Nea Smyrni" and "Peristeri" neighborhoods of Athens, where a firearm was also seized.
They were discovered as the perpetrators of the December 15th attack after reviewing security camera footage of the vehicle from which the gunfire was fired.
It is learned that the two suspects are not related to the victims, which makes Greek investigators suspect that they are contract killers.
Regarding the assassination, Greek authorities have assessed from the first moment that it was a matter of settling scores, based on the past of Irakli Davella, who is suspected of having connections to people who were killed in the heated conflicts between rival groups and the Greek mafia.
