Davide Pecorelli extradited from Italy to Albania after faking his death and burning his body

Italian citizen Davide Pecorelli was extradited this Tuesday from Italy to Albania, where he was taken into custody at Rinas Airport by the Operational Forces of the General Directorate of Prisons (DPB) and is being sent to the Institutions for the Execution of Criminal Offenses to serve the security measure.

According to the decision of the Puka Judicial District Court, Pecorelli has been sentenced to "prison arrest" as he is suspected of a number of serious criminal offenses, including "fraud", "grave rape", "destruction of property by fire" and "illegal crossing of the state border".

The 47-year-old, in January 2021, staged the event of his murder and the burning of his body.
