KLSH finds 811 million euros in violation/ Decreases by 10 times the economic damage that must be returned to the budget

In 205 audits carried out in state institutions, the SAI has found 811 million euros of damages in the budget.
The High State Control also informs that during 2022 four criminal charges will be filed against 16 officials due to the abuse of public funds.
Meanwhile, what is noticeable from last year is the fact that the actual economic damage that must be returned as a value in the budget has decreased significantly from the previous year. This amount resulted in the value of 159 million euros in 2021, while in 2022 it stands at 13 million euros.
Meanwhile, damages caused by mismanagement, poor planning or inefficiency of state funds, which are known as missing revenues in the budget, have increased significantly.
Mismanagement of public funds KLSH evidences that it comes from two main sources such as the sale/purchase and leasing of state assets, while this year's surprise also comes from the non-collection of taxes from the municipalities. Even the expenses for investments bear a great burden on the lack of income in the budget. Even other items or violations in the budget discipline is one of the biggest burdens.
KLSH also in this year's report continues to emphasize the government's problem with the frequent change of the budget with normative acts, which leads to poor planning of public finances according to the institution.
