Lezha/ Residents of Maba without drinking water: We are forced to buy it in cans

The lack of drinking water in the village of Mabë, Lezha, continues to remain an unresolved problem for the residents of the area, making daily life difficult and burdening the family economy, especially during the summer months.

Residents are outraged by the situation that has been going on for years without a solution. They say they are forced to buy water in cans to meet their families' basic needs, incurring additional costs every month.

"We don't have drinking water. We buy it in cans at the store," says a village resident.

According to residents, even the investments made over the years in the water supply network have not improved the situation. They claim that the works have been incomplete and have not guaranteed a normal supply of drinking water.

"The investment was useless and incomplete. We don't know how it was done, but the fact is that we continue to have no water,"  the residents declare.

The problem becomes even more worrisome during the summer season, when high temperatures and increased consumption further worsen the situation. For many families, the constant purchase of water has become a heavy economic burden.

Although promises have been made over the years by local authorities and responsible institutions, residents say that to date no concrete solution has been taken.

Disappointed by the situation, they demand immediate intervention to guarantee the supply of drinking water, emphasizing that a vital need cannot remain hostage to unfulfilled promises.
