Abandoned car with Kalashnikov and ammunition, inside it is discovered the DNA of an Albanian registered for robbery

The discovery of an abandoned vehicle in Palio Faliro in Athens, inside which weapons and ammunition were found, has alerted the Greek police. The incident happened on Friday, where 1 Kalashnikov firearm, 1 hand grenade, magazines, a can of gasoline and a coconut were found inside the vehicle.

According to the same information, the vehicle had false license plates and the car was reported stolen on September 14, at the Nea Ionia Police Department. From the investigations so far, it appears that the incident is related to an Albanian citizen, 39 years old, filed for robbery. He was arrested in Patra in 2009 and in Athens in 2019, but is now free. The object of his attacks were ELTA points and ATMs.

This is said to have emerged from the analysis of fingerprints and DNA by the Directorate of Forensic Medicine Laboratories. However, there are still many questions about the targeting of the Albanian, whether it was an assassination or a robbery.
