Mold, rust and stuck meat/ KMY 'shuts its mouth' about the food scandal

These are the scandalous conditions under which chicken meat was kept in the warehouses of the entity "KMY".
Food products placed in an environment with the presence of mold and rust pose a serious risk to food safety.
If the National Food Agency had not exercised control over the warehouses of "KMY", this meat could have ended up on our tables. Regarding this case, "Ora News" television addressed a request for information to the AKU.
This institution informs us that the entity was fined 300,000 (three hundred thousand) lekë, while the measure of partial blocking of the activity was taken. Due to the storage of meat in inappropriate hygienic-sanitary conditions, a total of 738 kg of fillet and chicken breast product were blocked.
Given that this situation directly affects consumers, "Ora News" television addressed a request for information to "KMY".
The entity was asked for a full and transparent response on the violations found, the measures taken, the responsibilities within the entity, and whether the activity has returned to safe standards for consumers.
"KMY" has decided to keep quiet about an issue that directly affects food security and the health of citizens.
The lack of an official response not only damages public trust, but also increases uncertainty about the standards followed in the market.
Remaining silent when consumers expect information about the safety of the products they consume deepens doubts about how the "KMY" handles violations that affect the health of citizens.
Earlier, in an investigation conducted, it was reported that "KMY" had carried out questionable procedures for the disposal of expired sausage.
This is because the KTA, an institution that should be present in the disposal of obsolete products, had no information about where 54 tons of expired "KMY" meat and sausage had ended up.
