Prison Operation, 90 High-Risk Convicts Transferred from Fushë-Kruja to Peqin

A high-security operation is underway in prisons this evening. It is reported that 90 high-risk prisoners have been transferred under strict security measures from Fushë-Kruja to Peqin.

This transfer comes after Altin Ndoc's spectacular escape from Durres hospital on January 13.

The operation was carried out with the involvement of specialized law enforcement and penitentiary services, guaranteeing order, security and the smooth running of the process. This transfer is carried out in the context of the redistribution of prisoners and the strengthening of security measures.

This immediate transfer has also brought difficulties in accommodation and in the process of adapting the prisoners to the receiving institution, creating an increased burden on the structures of the Peqin IEDP.

The transfer was completed without incident, while the situation in both institutions appears to be under control. After Ndoc's escape, a group of high-risk prisoners was also transferred from Durres prison to IEDP Peqin.
