Scaffolding collapses at a construction site in Vienna, 4 dead and 1 injured. Albanians suspected

A serious tragedy occurred this Tuesday in Vienna, Austria, where 4 people lost their lives during a workplace incident. According to family members and Austrian media, all the victims were Kosovars.

An immigrant from the village of Klinë e Poshtme in Skenderaj, Pajtim Bajrami, is among the deceased. His family announced: “With deep sorrow we received the news of the loss of life of our uncle’s son, Pajtim Bajrami, who tragically lost his life at work in Vienna, along with three of his friends from Kosovo.”

The incident is suspected to have occurred during concrete works, where scaffolding collapsed and several workers fell into the courtyard of an old building. Austrian authorities are investigating the circumstances of the accident and are working to secure the scene.

The family has not yet provided details about the funeral ceremony of the deceased.
