Shortly before the start of the SP rally, Facebook and Instagram go down! Users encounter problems

Many social media users are facing problems using Facebook, Facebook Messenger, and Instagram on Friday morning.

According to online outage monitoring platform Downdetector, reports of problems began to increase around 15:30 Albanian time. Some users were unable to log in to their Facebook accounts, while others received the error message: "This page isn't available right now."

Problems have also been reported on Instagram, where pages and posts are not loading normally, as well as on Facebook Messenger, where many users have encountered difficulties sending and receiving messages.

So far, there has been no official announcement from parent company Meta Platforms on the cause of the problems or when services are expected to be fully restored.

Meanwhile, this interruption comes at a time when attention is expected to be focused on political developments in the country. Shortly after, at 5:00 PM, the Socialist Party has announced its meeting at Italy Square in Tirana, while just an hour later the popular march towards the Prime Minister's Office is expected to begin.
