After Florenc Doka's resignation, Edmond Llabani is appointed acting director of Peqin prison

Following the sudden resignation of Florenc Doka, Edmond Llabani has been appointed acting director of Peqin prison, until a new director is selected.

The decision to appoint him was made by the Ministry of Justice, appreciating his experience and long-standing commitment to this institution.

Llabani is a well-known name in the field of justice and public administration. He served for a long time as deputy director of the Peqin Penitentiary Institution.

He also previously held the position of police chief within this institution.

We recall that Florenc Doka resigned from his position today, April 24, for reasons that are still unclear. Florenc Doka has officially submitted his resignation request, which has been accepted and approved by the Minister of Justice.

The resignation comes at a time when the institution he headed has been under scrutiny for various issues related to the administration and functioning of prisons in the country, however, there is no data linking this decision to any specific event.
