The judge of the Court of Vlora, Laurent Fuçia, was suspended from office for one year, by the decision of the Special Appeal Board.
Notice of decision
The panel of judges of the Special Appeal Board, composed of Ina Rama chairperson, Rezarta Schuetz relator, Mimoza Tasi, Natasha Mulaj, Sokol Çomo members, announced the decision on case no. 19/2023, dated 18.05.2023, regarding the appeal of the Public Commissioner against the decision of the Independent Qualification Commission no. 632, dated 08.03.2023, related to the revaluation subject Laurent Fuçia.
At the end of the trial, the court, based on Article E, point 1, of the Annex to the Constitution, articles 44, letter "b", 60 and 66, point 1, letter "b" of law no. 84/2016, "On the transitional reassessment of judges and prosecutors in the Republic of Albania", by majority vote, decided:
Changing the decision of the Independent Qualification Commission no. 632, dated 08.03.2023, which belongs to the subject of revaluation Laurent Fuçia.
The suspension from duty of the subject of the revaluation Laurent Fuçia for a period of one year and the obligation to follow the training program, according to the curricula approved by the School of Magistracy.
This decision has immediate effect.
It was announced in Tirana, today, on 25.07.2024.
