Tirana Traffic Police: 12,607 fines in one week

The Traffic Police of Tirana imposed 12,607 fines during the past week.
According to what the police announced, the checks were focused on the drivers of vehicles who park incorrectly, causing heavy traffic, as well as on those who drive faster than the permitted rates.
"The Traffic Police of Tirana, following the work to guarantee and increase road safety parameters, has added checks on all road axes, for the identification and punishment of violators of road traffic rules, who are a potential risk for involvement in road incidents.
Controls are mainly focused on those drivers who park incorrectly, causing heavy traffic, those who drive faster than the permitted rates, and those who overtake incorrectly, becoming a source of accidents.
For the aforementioned violations, during the past week, the Traffic Police of Tirana has punished 12,607 vehicle drivers with administrative measures.
The Traffic Police of Tirana appeals to drivers to respect the rules of road traffic, as well as to all citizens, to report to the free number 112 or to the official addresses of the Police, any case of violation of these rules", the police informs.
