Dead poultry reported, farm in Rashbull placed in quarantine

The National Veterinary and Plant Protection Authority, after receiving a report of the death of poultry from the entity "Rea's", has quarantined the farm located in the village of Maliq Muҫo, Rashbull Administrative Unit, Durrës Municipality. The veterinary service has taken official samples and sent them for analysis to the Reference Laboratory - ISUV.
Currently, the regional structures of the General Directorate of the AKVMB and the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development are conducting the epidemiological investigation of the case.
The entity has around 227,708 heads in total, bred in four sheds in the poultry farm of the Rashbull Administrative Unit and one shed in the Shënavlash Unit, of which damages have been reported in only one of them.
Also, the National Veterinary and Plant Protection Authority announced regarding the situation that the order to increase biosecurity measures is in effect.
The KVM has notified 68 poultry breeding entities for their commitment to taking biosecurity measures in their establishments; has notified the regional veterinary service at the national level to increase vigilance and monitor the situation, and has notified the National Food Authority to increase vigilance and take measures.
