Renato Hoxhaj was killed for his land? New police trail emerges: He was threatened
New details have emerged regarding the murder of 58-year-old Renato Hoxhaj in Vlora.
It is reported that the victim's home was located in a highly coveted location for new construction, and it appears that the police are launching an investigation into a new lead.
Sources close to Hoxhaj's family have stated that he had recently appeared worried after receiving various threats to give up the land for construction, but he had not accepted.
Just a few meters away, a multi-story building has been built where apartment prices are high, going up to around 1,500 euros/meter.
The police are questioning several people about this plot, including the owner of the building built next to his apartment, to determine whether he made such a request or not.
According to the same sources, in contacts with relatives, he stated that he was "receiving threats against his house" with the intention of building there, but he would resist.
This lead is being investigated more intensively only due to the fact that Hoxhaj had no other problems and was known in the area as a calm and respectable man.
The two adult children have not had much contact with him as they have been living abroad for years and the only contact has been by phone.
