How was Kristian Marku killed? The investigation of "Në

The evidence and graphic evidence brought exclusively by the show "Në Shënjestër" to the public have helped the police identify the vehicle used in the murder of Kristian Marku, who was executed on the evening of January 13, 2025, on the highway near the village of Novoselë, Vlorë, K in a well-organized assassination attempt with firearms.

In addition to being involved in the bloody conflict between the two tribes, Christian Marku also had problems with the law, being involved in several criminal activities in recent years.

But its execution, the manner of organization, and the use of a burned-out car with stolen license plates suggest that the assassination was not just part of a primitive revenge, but a carefully thought-out plan executed by experienced individuals.

The victim was part of a bloody conflict between the Reçi, Gjini and Bardhi tribes, a long revenge saga with roots in Rrëshen and branches in Europe.

Police investigations revealed that the assassins used a black Volkswagen Golf 5, which was found burned just a few minutes after the murder, near the village of Panaja, Vlora.

Initially, the chassis number could not be identified, but upon examination it was discovered that the car was manufactured in 2004 and had entered Albania from Kosovo.

According to Interpol Ljubljana, the vehicle was owned by a citizen from Podujevo, Kosovo, JB, while it was used by his brother, EB, a resident of Slovenia.

According to EB's testimony, the car was purchased in November 2022 in Maribor, Slovenia for 1,200 euros and brought to Kosovo.

The car was then sold for 1,700-1,800 euros to a citizen from Kukes, named Erald Cenaj, who, according to EB, had requested Golf and Touran vehicles to obtain without notarized documents.

The transaction was made via WhatsApp communication, with an order for delivery at the Morina border crossing. The vehicle was delivered by JB, who received the payment and sent the money, license plates, and documents to his brother via the Kosovo-Slovenia bus line.

"On December 4, 2022, I sent Eraldi some photos of the 'Golf' car that had no license plates to his WhatsApp number, which I had registered as 'Albania'. After seeing the photos, Eraldi called me asking about the physical condition of the car.

"After discussing the details, we agreed that he would buy the car for 1,700-1,800 euros and that I would bring the car to the Morina border crossing point in Kukës," the investigative file states.

Just two days after he had handed over the car to Eraldi, against the previously agreed upon agreement, E. says that his brother J. had brought him the money from the sale of the car via the Kosovo-Slovenia bus line.

But not more than a few days after Eraldi took delivery of the 'Volkswagen Golf' car, E. says that he called him and was complaining about the car's constant defects.

Meanwhile, on the other hand, E., after receiving the vehicle's license plates, had submitted them to the relevant authorities and then had them deregistered in Slovenia.

After my brother J. brought me  the amount of money for which the car was sold, as well as the license plates and registration certificate, via the Kosovo-Slovenia bus line, a few days later Eraldi called me and started complaining about the car's defects.

Meanwhile, on December 8, 2022, I handed over the license plates to Slovenia and deregistered the vehicle registration. A procedure for which I also have documents for this service.

EB told the investigation group that just a few days after deregistering the old license plate for the Volkswagen Golf 5 vehicle in Slovenia, he sent the license plate back to Eraldi, who came all the way to Kosovo to pick it up in person.

Which the latter confirmed to E. on the phone. But what happens next is that E. B. turns out to have sold the Volkswagen Golf 5 car to citizen Erald Cenaj from Kukës, without notarial documents. Meanwhile, he admits that he purchased this car in Slovenia and deregistered it in the name of his brother J.

I have known Erald Cenaj since 2021, the period when he visited the website where I exhibit cars. I have always sold vehicles to Erald in this way, throughout our cooperation, without notarial deeds. For the cars I have sold, I also have photos as well as the conversation I had with Erald on whats app.

Another person who was questioned about the Volkswagen Golf 5 vehicle, which was used in the execution of Kristian Marku in early January 2025, was JB himself. He stood by the statements of his brother E. and admitted that he handed over the car at the Morina border crossing in Kukës to Albanian citizen Erald Cenaj.

With whom he had communicated on the Viber application, and from whom he had also received the amount of 1,800 euros for the vehicle he had delivered.

But the most interesting evidence that could shed some light on how the vehicle ended up in the hands of the assassins was the interview by the investigative team of citizen Erald Cenaj.

The one who took the Volkswagen Golf 5 vehicle in Morina and brought it into Albanian territory. Erald Cenaj, who said that he had started trading in used cars in 2021. And that during this time he had bought many such cars from Fushë-Kosova, or from people who brought them from outside Albanian territory.

" I started trading in used cars in 2021. Mainly from Fushë-Kosova, or people who bring them from abroad. For the sale of these cars, I do not use notarial contracts, but sales invoices," Erald Cenaj said in his testimony before the group of investigators.

When asked about his collaboration with the B. brothers from Podujevo, Kosovo, Erald Cenaj did not deny that he knew them. But he also claimed that of the brothers, he only knew E., not J.

E., who, according to him, had also bought a gray Volkswagen Golf 5 vehicle, and another one of the same brand, black.

" From E., as far as I remember, I bought several vehicles which I later sold. Among them was a Volkswagen Golf 5, gray in color. As well as another one of the same brand, black in color," Erald Cenaj declared to investigators.

But of interest to the investigative group was precisely the black Volkswagen Golf 5 that Erald Cenaj had purchased from EB Makina, which a few years later was used in the execution of Kristian Marku, in the village of Novoselë in Vlora.

"I don't remember who I sold this car to. What I know is that I did not clear customs for the black Volkswagen Golf 5. As for the other cars I bought from E. B, I cleared customs, but I did not make a sales contract for any of these vehicles," the investigation file states, referring to Erald Cenaj's testimony.

But the investigation team's suspicions remained that Erald Cenaj was not telling the truth about who he sold the Volkswagen to after EB from Kosovo, a resident of Slovenia, bought it. Therefore, he was questioned once again by the investigation team.

Perhaps with the thought of learning more about the people who used the crime car, in the future.

"Citizen Erald Cenaj was questioned again, but he now refused to speak. In his statement, he said that he would only give explanations in the presence of the lawyer chosen by his family," the investigative file for the murder of Kristian Marku states.

For this reason, on January 25, 2025, the Vlora prosecution decided to detain citizen Erald Cenaj, as a person suspected of having committed the criminal offense of providing the conditions and means to commit murder.

But despite this suspicion, Erald Cenaj claimed that EB and J. B did not have any documents to prove that they had sold the Volkswagen Golf 5 to him. According to him, their claim that they had sold him this car cannot be taken for granted.

Erald Cenaj stated that in such circumstances, reasonable suspicion cannot be considered based on evidence, only on the testimony of two people who, according to his claim, will definitely attempt to take the vehicle in question away from themselves due to the incident that occurred.

But what seems to confuse this story once again is the fact that after checking the phone of Kosovar citizen E. B, it turns out that in their WhatsApp communications there is no agreement regarding the sale of the car, which after a few years was used in a crime, in the murder on January 13, 2025, of 30-year-old Kristian Marku.

"From the examination of the telephone conversations, it does not appear that E. B. and Erald Cenaj agreed with each other to purchase this car. Nor did they discuss the purchase price or sending this vehicle to Albania, as E. B. claims," the file states.

Likewise, according to the investigation group, according to the control that was made of E. B's phone, it turns out that in the communications he has with Erald Cenaj, only a few pictures of a vehicle appear. Where EB tells Erald Cenaj that this is the car. And the latter replies that the car has some burns and needs painting. But at no point does he confirm the purchase of this car.

Meanwhile, from examining E. B's phone, it turns out that he has two unanswered calls from Erald Cenaj.

Which always means according to the investigative group that they could not communicate even by voice, in order to legitimize his claim that he spoke with Erald Cenaj. But even though these facts are contradictory to each other, what is striking is that the investigative group has stopped its research only at the crime car.

Without being able to follow other traces that could lead him to the murderers who shot 30-year-old Kristian Marku on the evening of January 13, 2025. An endless river of blood that over the years has spread not only in the small town in the north of the country but also in Europe. Revenge that has so far claimed many human lives, and whose end is still in sight...
