SPAK issued an arrest warrant for drug trafficking, who is Ilir Shtufi! The builder of 'Tirana Mountain' and his connection to Shkëlzen Berisha

SPAK has issued an arrest warrant for businessman Ilir Shtufi, following an operation for drug trafficking and money laundering. Ilir Shtufi is a businessman in the construction field, who is also known for his ties to Shkëlzen Berisha, the son of former Prime Minister Sali Berisha.

Ilir Shtufi is the builder of several towers in Tirana, among them the skyscraper to be called "Tirana Mountain", which is expected to be 65 floors, 58 floors above ground and 7 floors below ground, and 185 floors above ground. Ilir Shtufi owns 91% of the shares of the construction company Nova Construction 2012, while Kujtim Shtufi owns 9%.

Shtufi is a controversial name in the Balluku file, which has been the subject of SPAK checks as part of the investigation into former Deputy Prime Minister Balluku. Ilir Shtufi's Nova Construction company is one of the 3 operators that won the tender for Lot 4 of the Grand Ring Road in Tirana, and this procedure is also currently under investigation by SPAK.

Earlier, news circulated in the media that Shkëlzen Berisha was living in Ilir Shtufi's villa in Rolling Hills, while later it was the former prime minister's son himself who admitted it.
