A 29-year-old Albanian man has been arrested by Italian authorities, accused of drug trafficking.
Media across the Adriatic report that 27 kilograms of narcotics were found and seized in the Albanian's apartment in Vigevano. More specifically, 22 kilograms of cannabis, divided into 122 packages and hidden inside the refrigerator.
As well as 5 kilograms of cocaine, packaged in blocks with the image of Al Pacino in the movie Scarface or in heat-sealed bags, which were scattered in various places in the apartment.
The investigations were led by the Genoa carabinieri, who had noticed the Albanian with suspicious behavior and followed him to his residence, an apartment in the city of Vigevano.
A few days ago, with the help of colleagues from the Vigevano Company, the young man was stopped and 58 grams of cocaine were found on him. Then, a search was carried out in the apartment, where a large quantity of drugs was also discovered. 7 thousand euros in cash were also found in the house, which are suspected to have been obtained from drug distribution activities.
The 29-year-old was arrested and taken to Pavia prison, where he is awaiting a hearing to confirm his arrest.
