Gjovalin Prendi, the father of Roan Brahimi, was executed in front of his business in Pllana, Lezha, on Thursday evening (April 17). The 64-year-old was shot with a barrage of bullets by assailants and died as a result of his wounds.
The killers fled without leaving any trace, while the vehicle used to commit the crime was found about 12 hours later in Fushe Gjorm. No traces were found in the car, as it turned out to be completely burned.
Meanwhile, about an hour after the mafia execution in Lezha, another assassination attempt occurred in Tirana where 4 young men were shot with a burst of bullets inside the vehicle of the owner of "Pelikani Security", Vesel Demiraj.
His two sons, 11-year-old Dior Demiraj and 17-year-old Marko Bardhi Demiraj, 17 (who, after receiving first aid at Trauma in Tirana, were transported abroad), were injured in the attack, as well as their friend, 19-year-old Kian Mullaj, and the Demiraj family's driver, Arens Stafa, 34, who was driving the G Class vehicle.
Police suspect that the target was mistaken in Lundë and that the possible target was Roan Brahimi's first wife.
The latter is the sister of Ilir Beqaraj, arrested for the murder of Gentjan Bejtja, an event in which her husband, 32-year-old Roan Brahimi, is suspected of having participated.
About a month and a half after the murder of Gentjan Bejtja, Roan Brahimi was shot to death in Athens, Greece, a crime that occurred on May 9, 2024.
