Jonaid Myzyri was summoned by SPAK under investigation for abuse of office and "favoring companies in tenders"

The Special Anti-Corruption Prosecution Office is questioning the head of the Public Prosecution Commission, Jonaid Myzyri, as a person under investigation, suspected of the criminal offenses of "abuse of office" and "favoring companies in tenders".
The latter appeared this Tuesday in the special structure with legal defense attorney Ermir Beta, where he is giving statements for over two hours.
The information indicates that Myzyri's mobile phone was also seized due to the investigation that has been launched against him.
This is the third time that Joniad Myzyri has been summoned to the Special Prosecution Office against Corruption and Organized Crime for questioning.
Myzyri has held the position of head of the Public Procurement Commission since 2020. The Public Procurement Commission is the highest administrative body in the field of procurement that reviews complaints about public procurement procedures, concessions/public private partnerships, public auctions, and competitive procedures for granting mining permits.
