"The red line that Trump has set must not be crossed," Vance announces

US Vice President JD Vance has stated that progress is being made in negotiations with Iran to end hostilities.

His statement comes just 24 hours after President Donald Trump rejected as "unacceptable" the latest proposal from Tehran.

"I think we're making progress. But the fundamental question is: are we making enough progress so that we don't cross the red line that the president has set?" Vance told reporters at the White House.

He stressed that President Trump wants to ensure that Iran never has a nuclear weapon.
