Murder of 20-year-old Grei Bihuci in Fier, the perpetrator admits the crime and apologizes, is sentenced to prison

The perpetrators of the murder of 20-year-old Grei Bihuci on March 11, 2024 in the city center of Fier were found guilty in today's court session.
All parties appeared at noon today after the verdict was given. According to official sources from the Fier Court of First Instance, the court session was held under strict security measures.
The trial panel consisted of chairman Genci Busho and members Vladimir Cjapi and Elira Hroni. The prosecutor of the case was Petrit Vukaj, while the two perpetrators accused of murder were defended by lawyer Ervis Goxhaj.
After reading the facts in the file and the evidence provided to the prosecution, Petrit Vukaj requested the guilty verdict of the accused, requesting 25 years in prison for Florian Muka and 12 years in prison for the minor KM (Florian's cousin).
The defense, represented by lawyer Ervis Goxhaj, claimed before the trial panel that Floriani admitted to the murder but said he committed it in self-defense. Meanwhile, the 16-year-old minor KM, the brother of the perpetrator, claimed that he was present when the fight occurred and the murder was committed, but did not commit any action himself. The two defendants apologized and expressed remorse for the actions they had taken.
The charge was premeditated murder committed in collaboration under Article 78/1, for Florian Muka 25 years in prison were requested, but since he admitted the murder, asked for forgiveness, he was sentenced to 12 years in prison under Article 76, and for the minor 12 years, but for not reporting the crime he was sentenced to 1 year in prison, which he committed in detention and was released.
The 19-year-old was stabbed by Florjan Muka, 19, and K. Muka, 17, in the center of Fier, who are first cousins.
It is suspected that the argument between them started on social media and then escalated into a physical fight.
The victim's friend, Olti Serjanaj, 20, who intervened to save him, was injured. The victim was studying ICT and worked as a waiter in a bar near the scene of the incident in the afternoons.
