Murder of Jani Aliaj and injury of another Albanian, Greek Police raid Koridhalos prison

The recent crimes that occurred within the isolation facilities of Greece's most notorious prison, Koridhalos, have put the Greek authorities in motion.
A few days ago, life-sentenced Jani Aliaj, accused in Albania and Greece of serious crimes, was killed with an improvised glass knife while serving his sentence.
Later, there were reports of an attempted murder of another Albanian, who was injured.
Today, "Protothema" informs that an operation in the Koridhalo prisons was carried out this morning by the Directorate for Combating Organized Crime.
"Specifically, police officers from the Narcotics Sub-Directorate, with the assistance of police officers from the Crimes Against Life and Property Sub-Directorate and the Intelligence and Special Operations Sub-Directorate of the DAOE, as well as the Special Anti-Terrorist Repressive Unit (EKAM) and a Police Dog, conducted searches in 10 cells, 3 rooms of the Central Prison Depot of Koridhalos, as well as on 31 prisoners," the authorities informed.
As reported by ELAS (Greek Police), criminal charges were filed against two prisoners who were caught with mobile phones, but their nationalities were not disclosed.
In total, during the investigations, the following were found and seized:
– 2 nylon packages of processed cannabis (chocolate) with a total gross weight of 2.75 grams,
– 4 mobile phones, SIM card, white chargers and charging cables.
