Fire "devours" Belishova for a week, flames are getting out of control

Since the early hours of this morning, 30 army troops have joined the operation to neutralize the flames in Belishovo, Mallakastra.

Firefighters, civil emergency personnel, and municipal police are continuing their work without interruption, while the flames this morning are of lower intensity.

An official assessment of the situation to request air intervention has not yet been made.

The fire is in its sixth day, initially starting in the Drenova forest massif, then spreading to the Gorishova hills, where dozens of olive trees were burned, to end in Belishova, where the flames got out of control yesterday evening.
