A 10-year-old girl died brutally at the hands of her mother in Australia, as police officers described it as the most horrific scene they have faced in their careers.
The 10-year-old was found dead by her father shortly after 18:00 (local time) on Tuesday in the Carrara region. Four hours later, police arrested 46-year-old Yingjing Hu for the little girl's murder.
"Despite the efforts of her father and the emergency, the young girl was found dead by the doctors. The investigation started immediately and as a result, the child's mother was arrested under the charge of murder , "said the police.
According to Australian media, the 10-year-old girl was stabbed several times in the neck by her mother. Until now, it remains unclear whether the 46-year-old had psychological problems. The trial for the 46-year-old accused of negligent homicide is set for November 29.
