Crew accuses passengers of stealing phone, plane makes emergency landing

A United Airlines flight was forced to make an unscheduled landing in Chicago after an unusual incident occurred on board.
According to People, the flight crew accused some passengers of stealing a cell phone, which caused high tensions during the trip. The flight had departed from San Francisco with an international destination in Europe, but was diverted to Chicago's O'Hare Airport.
A passenger testified that flight attendants and crew treated the situation as a serious safety issue, requesting checks and postponing the emergency landing to investigate the case.
After the plane landed in Chicago, airport officials and local police were involved in the incident. It has not yet been officially announced whether the missing phone was found or if any passengers were detained.
