Donald Trump's son Habit: Bill Clinton bombed Serbia to distract from

The son of the President of the United States of America, Donald Trump Jr., believes that NATO's bombing of Serbia during the recent war in Kosovo came as a result of a scandal between former US President Bill Clinton and a White House intern, Monica Lewinsky.

Donald Trump Jr., during his stay in Serbia, conducted an interview with the President of Serbia, Aleksandar Vučić. In the interview published on his official channel on “Rumble Studio” – which has over 1.5 million followers – Trump Jr. first talks about his visit to Serbia and then presents a brief history of the state of Serbia.

He also touches on the topic of the NATO bombing campaign, where he takes for granted a conspiracy theory that was circulating at the time.

"NATO bombed Serbia in 1999, which led to the withdrawal of Serbian forces from Kosovo. This happened at the height of the Bill Clinton-Monica Lewinsky scandal. Many, especially now, in retrospect, see this bombing as a distraction from that failure of Bill Clinton," Trump Jr. says, before starting the interview with Vučić.

The Bill Clinton and Monica Lewinsky scandal took place at the height of President Clinton's term and had a major impact on his political life and image. Meanwhile, in 1999, as the scandal was reaching its peak, another important event occurred: NATO began bombing Serbia.

At the time, there was much speculation and theories linking the two events. Some have suggested that the NATO bombings may have been a way to divert public attention from the Clinton scandal and to "distract" the media and public opinion from the investigation into him.

Also, in this same "Podcast" - watched by over 280 thousand people - Trump Jr. showed a map of the Western Balkans, where Kosovo appears as part of Serbia.

One of the topics discussed with Vučić, as Trump Jr. explains at the beginning of the interview, is what he calls the "Kosovo issue" and the dialogue process between Kosovo and Serbia, mediated by the European Union.

At this point, Trump Jr. takes care to put the word "normalization" in quotation marks, thus showing his distrust of this process.

"The EU and even many people in Washington want to 'normalize' relations between Kosovo and Serbia, but Serbia continues and argues with great passion that Kosovo is part of its sovereign territory," Trump Jr. said.
