A day after his extradition from Belgium, the Special Court Against Corruption and Organized Crime (SCOC) has communicated the security measure "arrest in prison" to 32-year-old Sergej Hasanpapaj.

According to official data, he was declared an international wanted person, after in 2024 the Criminal Court of Kosovo had imposed the measure of "prison arrest" on him for the criminal offenses of "premeditated murder", attempted and committed within the framework of a criminal organization, as well as "illegal possession and production of weapons, explosive weapons and ammunition".

Hasanpapaj is suspected of being involved in the murder of Bledar Muça, an event that occurred in January 2022 in Belgium.

Bledar Muça was shot dead in Belgium while returning to his apartment. According to authorities, he was shot several times by two armed men in an attack that is suspected to have been staged.

Initially, Belgian police announced the execution of a British citizen, based on documents found on the victim. It was later confirmed that it was Albanian citizen Bledar Muça.

According to information published by the authorities, Muça had a criminal record and moved between England, the Netherlands and Belgium. His name has also been mentioned in several serious criminal incidents that have focused on members of the Çapja tribe in Elbasan.
