Iran: No document has been agreed upon for the deal with the US

Iran has not yet approved any text for a deal with the US, the country's state media said.

According to an "informed source", no text has been approved for the initial memorandum of understanding with the United States.

The inside source, said to be close to the Islamic republic's negotiating team, appeared to distance himself from President Trump's claims just hours ago, Iran's Fars news agency reported.

Earlier this evening, Trump announced on Truth Social that he was canceling planned strikes on Iran due to discussions at the "highest level."

He claimed that Iran agreed to a text for the initial memorandum of understanding and that an agreement would be "announced soon."
