Former BILD journalist links him to a terrorist organization, Rudiger takes
Real Madrid defender Antonio Rudiger and the German Football Association (DFB) have taken legal action against media chief Julian Reichelt, accusing him of hate speech.

Reichelt, formerly editor-in-chief of BILD between 2017 and 2021, accused Rudiger of an alleged gesture related to the terrorist organization "ISIS" in an Instagram post made by Rudiger.

The 31-year-old posted a photo on his Instagram with his right finger pointing to the sky, celebrating the holy month of Ramadan.

"Blessed Ramadan to all Muslims around the world. May the Almighty accept our fasting and prayers," wrote Rudiger.

Reichelt responded to this with a photo of German Interior Minister Nancy Faeser wearing a 'OneLove' armband supporting the LGBTQIA+ community in Qatar at the 2022 World Cup, along with a photo of Rudiger.

" We've been hearing this tolerance tape nonsense for years, our jerseys are suddenly pink to symbolize diversity, and then German defense chief Antonio Rudiger shows the ISIS Islamist salute ," Reichelt wrote.

Rudiger is said to have addressed the competent authorities regarding this journalist's statement, accusing him of insult, defamation, inciting insult and sedition, while the German Federation accuses him of hate speech.
