China presents supersonic missile that can shoot down the "invisible bomber"

China is the third largest military power in the world, after only the United States of America and Russia. But, the Asian country leads as a naval force. It also has key qualities such as its industrial capacity and the balance between its forces, with a majority of modern equipment compared to that of the Cold War era.
Amongst all this military power, the People's Liberation Army of China has some of the most powerful hypersonic missiles in the world. Precisely, one of these weapons would allow Beijing to shoot down the new bomber of the United States, the B-21 Raider, which in the first days of November made its first experimental flight.
Although the combat version is classified, researchers at Northwest Polytechnic University in Xian conducted a simulation that confirms its destructive potential. According to the study, led by Professor Chen Sun, the Chinese Air Force could detect and shoot down hypersonic missiles launched by an advanced aircraft.
According to Chen, hypersonic missiles developed by China have characteristics that allow them to track and shoot down stealth aircraft using solid-fueled "impulse engines". Thanks to this, they can adjust the speed during flight. According to Chen, if the B-21 bomber detects the Chinese threat, another hypersonic missile can attack the bomber thanks to its ability to change targets.
The "invisible" bomber
It was almost a year ago that America introduced its latest acquisition, the B-21 Raider, known as "the invisible" for its ability to be undetectable by radars and "the most sophisticated defense systems". Another aspect that makes this bomber unique is its speed, as it can fly at 1,000 kilometers per hour, just below the speed of sound.
Its "stealth" system is more advanced than that of other American aircraft, such as the F-35 and F-22. In this way, he is able to "sneak" into enemy territory and launch attacks with bombs and missiles, whether nuclear or conventional. In addition, it is capable of commanding drones and carrying a large number of missiles inside, significantly multiplying its combat capacity in the sky.
But China is not far behind and, according to Chen, has developed aircraft with the ability to turn off radars and inspect the environment thanks to the latest technologies and a suit that picks up electrical and thermal signals from a distant object. In this way, both the new stealth aircraft and its drones can fly faster than the United States bomber.
