Italian Prime Minister calls for US participation in upcoming European Leaders' Summit on Ukraine!

Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni, who attended today's Ukraine Summit in Paris, said she hopes that an American delegation will be present at the next summit.
Meloni underlined the importance of continuing cooperation with the US to end the conflict.
"I hope that an American delegation will participate in the upcoming conference," said the statement released by Meloni's office.
The Italian Prime Minister reiterated the position that Italy will not send soldiers to Ukraine.
The Italian prime minister said it is also "important" to extend the partial ceasefire to civilian infrastructure, such as schools and hospitals, with the ultimate goal of a full ceasefire in Ukraine.
In this context, Meloni said that "the United Nations can play a role."
Ukraine's European allies unanimously opposed today the lifting of sanctions imposed on Russia.
