Power outage in Spain, first victim recorded in Madrid

The first victim of the power outage in Madrid is recorded.

A woman has died in a fire that broke out in her apartment in the Carabanchel area south of Madrid.

According to El Paris, initial hypotheses from Spanish police suspect that the fire may have been caused by a candle.

The SAMUR emergency services agency confirms that 13 other people are being treated, while five of them who are in more serious health conditions have been taken to hospital.

Meanwhile, in Madrid, around 200 people were rescued by fire services, most of whom were trapped in an elevator.
