The protest, which lasted several hours and which seemed to once again show Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić the strength of the students and citizens who filled the streets of Belgrade, appears not to have passed without incident.

According to foreign media, the gathering of citizens began during the day at various locations in Belgrade.

Protesters flocked to the center of the capital, while simultaneously marching on several streets.

There were also clashes between protesters and police, but also between the participants in the rally themselves.

A physical altercation occurred near Nikola Pashiq Square where a group of men from the protest beat a young man. The injured man was hit in the head with a bottle and an ambulance had to be called.

During the protest, chants of "Arrest Vučić" were also heard as police passed by.

Among the messages against the regime of Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić, there were also messages against Milorad Dodik, the president of Republika Srpska of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

One of the banners read "Dodik is not Republika Srpska, Vučić is not Serbia."
