WHO warns: Gaza's medicine stocks are running out

The Director-General of the World Health Organization, Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus, insisted he has raised concerns that medical supplies in the Gaza Strip are running low.

Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus insisted it is necessary to lift the Israeli blockade on humanitarian aid placed in the war-torn Palestinian territory.

Following the announcement by the World Food Programme that all of its food supplies to Gaza, where Israel has blocked all aid for the past seven weeks, had been exhausted, Ghebreyesus warned that the situation is the same for medical supplies.
