After the murder of two Israeli diplomats, the FBI reacts: The suspect is being interviewed, the punishment will be severe

The FBI's deputy director said the suspect in the murders of two Israeli diplomats in Washington faces "severe" penalties.

Don Bongino said Elias Rodriguez was being interviewed by police and the FBI.

"Early indications are that this is a targeted act of violence. Our FBI team is fully engaged and will provide you with answers as quickly as possible, without compromising additional leads ," Bongino wrote on X.

In a more recent post, Bongino said that "punishments will be harsh as this investigation concludes and we uncover any additional leads."
