Iranian President Injured in Israeli Airstrikes

Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian was reportedly slightly injured during one of Israel's attacks on Iran last month.
Iran's state-run Fars News Agency, close to the Revolutionary Guard, says that on June 16, six bombs targeted the entrance and exit points of a secret underground facility in Tehran, where Pezeshkian was attending an emergency meeting of the Supreme National Security Council.
The BBC reports that the president suffered leg injuries as he and others fled through an emergency shaft. Now it is reported that Iran is following up on infiltration leads by Israeli agents.
On June 13, Israel launched a surprise attack on nuclear and military sites in Iran, saying it acted to prevent Tehran from producing nuclear weapons.
Iran - which retaliated with air strikes on Israel - denies seeking to develop nuclear weapons and says its uranium enrichment is for peaceful purposes.
On June 22, the US Air Force and Navy carried out air and missile strikes against three Iranian nuclear facilities.
US President Donald Trump later said the attack "destroyed" the facilities, although some US intelligence agencies have taken a more cautious stance.
