"Trump Tower" unveiled in Dubai weeks before US president's visit

The Trump Organization is expanding into the Gulf region with the unveiling of its latest skyscraper project in Dubai, just weeks ahead of US President Donald Trump's planned visit to the region.
The 80-story building will be the first Trump Tower hotel in Dubai.
During the launch ceremony, Eric Trump, executive vice president of the Trump Organization, said that "this will be the first project where you can buy units using cryptocurrencies, including bitcoin."
The billion-dollar project is expected to be completed within five years.
"The most expensive unit will be the first-floor apartment, at a cost of around $20 million," according to the Emirati newspaper "The National."
Although previously a critic of cryptocurrencies, Donald Trump has supported digital assets during his campaign for a second term.
The announcement for the Dubai Tower comes ahead of US President Donald Trump's planned visit to Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates and Qatar, scheduled for May 13-16.
Last year, Saudi luxury real estate developer Dar Global announced the construction of a $533 million Trump Tower in Jeddah and another project in Oman that included a hotel and residential villas.
