The former associate of Donald Trump is shot dead

Mike Gill, a former aide and member of Donald Trump's administration, has been shot dead after a robber was trying to steal his car.

According to local media, Gill, who served as chief of staff at the Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC), was in his car when a robber entered the vehicle at gunpoint and shot him.

The police identified a 28-year-old man as a suspect, who tried to steal another vehicle about an hour later and then approached other citizens and asked for their keys. The 28-year-old assailant was shot dead by police a short time later.

Gill's wife, Christina, broke the news of her husband's death to FOX 5 DC.
