Rutte in Kosovo, Police with increased security measures for NATO delegation

Kosovo Police has announced that it will take care of maintaining public order and peace during the stay of NATO Secretary General, Mark Rutte, in Kosovo.

"On March 10 and 11, 2025, a high-ranking NATO delegation headed by its Secretary General, Mr. Mark RUTTE, will visit the Republic of Kosovo. The Kosovo Police, during this visit, will ensure the maintenance of public order and peace during the movement of the escort and the stay of the delegation in the Republic of Kosovo."

The police will temporarily block traffic on several road segments to allow Rutte's escort to circulate freely.

"To enable free movement of the escort according to the movement itinerary and the development of activities according to the visit agenda, the Kosovo Police will temporarily interrupt traffic flow (in short time intervals) on several road segments (where the escort is expected to pass) and in the vicinity of state facilities, where there will be a reorientation of traffic to alternative routes, therefore the Kosovo Police requests full understanding from citizens and traffic participants."
