US and Iran reach a "peace deal", CNN: Pakistan's Prime Minister confirms it

"Both sides agreed to an immediate and permanent cessation of military operations," the Pakistani prime minister said, without giving details. US President Donald Trump said on Sunday he planned to issue a statement "soon" on a deal with Iran, while continuing to express confidence that a deal could be finalized soon.

Trump told The Wall Street Journal that any agreement would be signed electronically by him or Vice President JD Vance.

The US president said the deal would include a commitment by Iran not to acquire nuclear weapons, as well as the immediate reopening of the Strait of Hormuz.
