Money "rains" on the streets of Detroit, driving passersby crazy!
An unexpected sight awaited those crossing Detroit's east side on Friday as bills began falling from the sky, causing chaos.
The “unusual rain of money” on Gratiot Avenue was nothing short of a touching tribute to a man who left an indelible mark on the local community.
Specifically, the airdrop was in honor of Darrell Thomas – known to most as “Plant” – a car wash owner who supported an entire neighborhood before he recently passed away due to Alzheimer’s disease.
He loved his family dearly, supported his neighbors, and was an avid collector of classic cars.
Giving money to the citizens, which was his last wish, was carried out by his son, who, along with family and friends, decided to continue the legacy of generosity left behind by his father. “Detroit, you may not know who my father was, but he was a great man,” Smoke said.
“ He was a legend in his community, he blessed everyone and this was his last gift to everyone. Nothing more .” The unprecedented traffic forced local traffic police to block Gratiot Avenue for about half an hour, as many drivers abandoned their cars in the middle of the road and got out to collect the bills!
????The real airdrop.
In Detroit, a helicopter dumped cash all over the highway.
Drivers literally abandoned their cars mid-traffic to grab the bills.
It was the last wish of a local car wash owner who asked for a "rain of money" before he passed away from Alzheimer's.
