The United Arab Emirates and Kuwait announced in the early hours of the morning that their air defenses had been activated to counter missile and drone attacks, while Saudi Arabia said it had intercepted at least seven unmanned aerial vehicles. A fire also broke out at a Kuwaiti state oil company refinery due to a drone attack, the official Kuwaiti news agency KUNA reported.
"The Mina Al-Ahmadi refinery, belonging to the Kuwait National Oil Company (KNPC), was targeted early this morning by hostile drone attacks, which caused fires in some of its units," according to the agency, following an attack on the same facility a day earlier that had also caused a fire.
Today's attack on the Mina Al-Ahmadi refinery caused no casualties but led to the shutdown of units at the facility, while firefighters are working to bring the fire under control, according to the official Kuwaiti news agency.
Saudi Arabia's Defense Ministry announced that it had "captured and destroyed" six drones in the eastern part of the country and another in the north. Meanwhile, the US-based HRANA organization reported that the death toll in Iran since the start of the conflict on February 28 has reached 3,186, including 1,394 civilians and at least 210 children. Meanwhile, Following the latest ballistic missile launch by Iran into northern Israel, the Israel Defense Forces announced that they have launched a new wave of airstrikes on the Iranian capital.
