The tattoo that raised suspicions, the US government "mistakenly"

A 44-year-old British man was stunned to see his name linked to a Venezuelan gang by the US government.

The entire chronology of this situation has to do with a tattoo that Pepe Belton has on his left arm, a tattoo that has been taken for granted by the government as concrete evidence to identify members of a notorious gang in Venezuela, whom US President Donald Trump is deporting to a high-security prison in El Salvador.

For the BBC , Belton expressed surprise, but at the same time concern for his family, where they had booked a trip to Miami together with his wife and daughter in August.

"It's a strange, a little funny feeling," said Belton as he recounted what he had to take away from this "mess."

The British man's tattoo identifies a watch face with the date and time of his daughter's birth. And this tattoo ended up in a photo released by the US government as a document classifying tattooed people belonging to this notorious gang.

Belton says he has no connection to the gang and that his involvement in the document seems pointless. He further explains that the tattoo was done nearly a decade ago, as verified by a tattoo artist.

Regarding the publication of documents showing tattoos on various parts of the bodies of these individuals, it is considered that before reaching a final conclusion, the necessary consultations are carried out to understand whether any of them belong to this dangerous gang called TdA.

An embarrassing situation for Belton, who is still unclear about how he ended up on this list, rightly expressing his concern.
