The chief spokesman for the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) has issued a public statement confirming that airstrikes against Iranian targets are still continuing with unprecedented intensity.
"Even at this hour, our Air Force pilots are carrying out extensive strikes in various areas of Iran," Defrin said in a live-streamed briefing.
According to him, the air campaign has lasted almost 40 hours without interruption, involving more than 150 targets, with a particular focus on Tehran over the last 24 hours.
He added that one of the main targets was an underground structure in western Iran, which, according to Israeli intelligence, was used to store and launch ballistic missiles and cruise missiles.
"This structure was attacked and the senior leaders who had previously visited it have also been eliminated," Defrin said.
He emphasized that the missiles located in this country were targeting Israeli citizens and forces of Western countries operating in the Middle East.
