A tragic event has occurred in Italy, where three climbers were found dead on the north face of Mount Gran Paradiso, in the Aosta Valley.

According to Italian media, the victims did not return to the Chabod Shelter as planned, raising concerns among authorities. The alarm was raised shortly after 7:30 p.m. on Friday, June 12, which immediately set rescue teams in motion.

The Aosta Valley Alpine Rescue Service (CNSAS) and a Civil Protection helicopter were involved in the search operation. During an aerial search of the route, the teams found the bodies of the three climbers at an altitude of about 3,600 meters above sea level, on the northern face of the mountain.

The operation to recover the bodies began immediately and continued until late in the evening. Authorities confirmed that the victims are Italian citizens, while their identities have not yet been made public.

The causes of the accident remain unclear. Investigators are working to determine the circumstances of the incident and have not ruled out any possibility, including the possibility of a crash or the impact of difficult weather conditions, snow and ice.
