The author of the murder of 9 people in the villages of Dubona and Malo Horaje has been sentenced to 20 years in prison by the Serbian authorities . The court in the city of Smederevo found Uros Blazic guilty of murdering nine people and injuring several others, an event that was recorded on May 4, 2023. The sentence against him is the maximum that can be imposed on the perpetrator by law as he has been under the age of 21 when he committed the crime.
The author's father, Radisa Blazic, whose illegal weapon was used by the killer, was also sentenced to 20 years in prison. It is noted that on May 4, 2023, in the late hours of the night, Uros Blazic, armed with a Kalashnikov, was driving his car in the villages of Dubonë and Malo Orasije, where he met two groups of young people and opened fire. Nine dead and twelve wounded were the victims. The youngest victim was 14 and the oldest 25.
The families of the victims express their displeasure with the sentence, considering it absurd the fact that the law protects a criminal who put two villages in mourning. This crime happened three days after the mass murder in a school in Belgrade, when a 14-year-old student shot and killed nine of his classmates and the school guard.
